- Sabrina Carpenter is currently on the European leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour
- Baker and fan Lara Mason decided to make a life-sized cake of Carpenter to celebrate
- Fans have given the creation mixed reviews on TikTok

Sabrina Carpenter is currently travelling around the UK and Ireland as part of the European leg of her sold-out Short n’ Sweet tour.
The pint-sized pop star, 25, has already performed in cities such as Dublin and Birmingham, and over the weekend, Carpenter took on two nights at London’s O2 Arena.
In celebration of Carpenter’s visit to Blighty, one super-fan decided to get creative in the kitchen – and the results have had a mixed reaction online.
Lara Mason created a life-sized model of the Espresso singer – made entirely out of cake.
Taking five days and a staggering 75kg of ingredients, the baker paid tribute to all five feet of Carpenter – using a vanilla cake and chocolate ganache, with fondant icing to create a Union Jack outfit and her signature blond locks.
A series of TikTok videos detailing Mason’s creation have racked up almost 14 million views collectively – but the cake divided fans in the comments.
Some fans were shocked by the Sabrina Carpenter cake…
Some of Mason’s audience were puzzled by the cake.
“What in the Madame Tussauds,” asked one, while another simply questioned, “What is that.”
“That looks nothing like her,” scolded another.
Others attempted to praise the cake… but didn’t quite hit the mark.
“I want to be positive about this but I’m also scared of how it looks,” wrote one, as another went on, “Love the attempt and effort, even though it looked like a 60 year old American celebrity that went through botox and is going to be alive at night when no one’s watching. Good job on the cake though.”
Someone else added, “Cake isn’t supposed to look like a scary doll staring into your soul.”
Another offered their condolences to Carpenter directly, and said, “Sabrina baby, I’m so sorry.”
While others praised the Sabrina Carpenter cake creation

However, others went wild for Mason’s creation – and branded it a “masterpiece”.
“Do y’all know how much TIME it takes to make a LIFE-SIZED CAKE? AND HOW MUCH TALENT??” one fan scolded critics, while another agreed, “I can’t even bake a normal cake or put icing on it.”
Others went on, “If anyone is hating on this as if you could do this, this is amazing work keep it up,” as a fourth added, “Anyone judging, I dare you to try it. Cake/fondant is an INCREDIBLY challenging medium for sculpting.”
“This is so good, what is everyone talking about???” someone else questioned, while others may have been a little more backhanded in their compliments to Mason.
“I mean, yeah, it may not be the best, but gosh you did sooo great!!” praised one, as another said, “You are genuinely so talented but it’s almost giving a drag Sabrina. Given the short amount of time though, it’s phenomenal.”
Others couldn’t help but poke fun at Carpenter’s ex, actor Barry Keoghan, and warned Mason, “Keep Barry away from this one.”
Another won the comments section by referencing Carpenter’s smash hit, Espresso.
“She’s working late ‘cos she’s a baker,” they joked.
Lara Mason comments on her Sabrina Carpenter cake

Despite the mixed comments, Mason appeared to have had a lot of fun while making the cake.
“Sabrina has been all over my TikTok for the last few weeks with her tour,” she told the BBC. “I constantly have her songs going round in my head. So once I realised she was coming to the UK I thought it was the ideal time to make a cake tribute to her.”
Mason continued, “The sculpting of her face is always the biggest trust-the-process moment.
“But I loved making her Union Jack dress. [It] took me back to the Spice Girls days. I also loved adding her hair at the end, as I think that pulled the whole thing together.”
