- A-Lister Jack Black thrilled fans last week when he was spotted strolling in Brighton
- The actor was killing time ahead of performing his Brighton Centre show with his rock duo, Tenacious D
- Black was also spotted in the city of Leeds earlier this month

He’s hailed as one of Hollywood’s most down to earth A-Listers.
So it should have been no surprise when Jack Black was spotted strolling around the streets of Brighton last week.
The School of Rock actor, 54, was spotted by a fan as he waited to cross the road. Wearing flame emblazoned shorts and matching shirt, Black finished his look with a pair of blue ankle socks and a questionable set of pull-on sneakers.
Black added a pair of sunglasses and some large headphones, while he’d styled his huge beard and allowed his natural gray hairs to come through.
Fans couldn’t believe their eyes – and the star was praised for being so low maintenance.
“Jack black casually walking around Brighton No bodyguards nothing what a legend,” wrote one follower on Twitter/X, while another added, “He’s wearing the exact outfit I’d expect he’d be wearing.”
Someone else joked, “This is genuinely what most men in Brighton look like, if I walked past him on the street I wouldn’t even know it was Jack Black.”
The actor was in the English seaside town for his gig with Tenacious D at the Brighton Centre. He performs in the rock comedy duo with Kyle Glass, 63.
‘He was really cool, but it was a bit of a shock!’
Brighton wasn’t the only English city Black was spotted in this month.
The Kung Fu Panda star was also seen out and about in Leeds, Yorkshire, ahead of his gig at the First Direct arena.
Black also paid a visit to Japanese restaurant Sushi Nakamura, where the staff took pictures with the approachable star.
Matthew Evans, a fan of Black’s, spotted him from a Wetherspoon pub.
“We weren’t sure if it was him or not, so we waited until we heard him speaking,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post. “No one else noticed him. We asked for a quick picture and he told us to walk with him. He was really cool, but it was a bit of a shock!
“I love his movies and the lad I was with listens to his band. It didn’t sink in until later that we’d just met Jack Black.”
