Sabrina Carpenter was always known as a jokester, and during her Copenhagen show, she played an April Fool’s prank on fans. The singer, 25, deliberately missed one of her iconic Juno positions for her 1 April show.

Carpenter is currently on her majorly successful Short N’ Sweet world tour. The singer began the tour in September 2024 and will continue to stun fans until November 2025, when it finishes.

Every night, Carpenter’s fans look forward to her show rituals, the bodysuit reveal, and the Juno position. Her song Juno is a pop culture reference to the movie Juno starring Elliot Page, a heavily pregnant teenager trying to navigate pregnancy.

The song is related to Carpenter being suggestive to her partner, saying she may let them “lock her down”… you get the point! Anyway, this bit in the show where she simulates a different intimate position has become a fan favorite, and fans were furious when she didn’t do it at the last show. See how they reacted here.

Fans were not happy about the missing Juno position. Concert rituals and traditions stick heavily with fans who love an artist, and Carpenter’s fans are passionate.

In a video posted to X, fans can see the singer skipped her Juno position of the night.

The singer continued on singing after the lyrics, “Have you ever tried this one”, where she simulates the position. Fans were blindsided, as there was no interval for the position.

How did the internet react to the Sabrina Carpenter April Fool’s Joke?

One fan expressed their disappointment on X and how they’d be upset if it were at their show. They said in a post, “Funny and all, but I feel like the only one who would be disappointed that the most popular part of a show I went to was cut out lol.”

Another fan heckled the idea that people were mad about the missing position. The user said, “People getting mad that she didn’t do a position like are you all for real this is such a non issue y’all acting like as if she canceled a show or something”.

On the other hand, one fan declared they’d be “so mad” if they were at the Copenhagen show. Guys, please go and touch some grass.

Meanwhile, a Duolingo parody account was not having it.

Sabrina Carpenter gaslit fans?

Some fans who were mad at Carpenter thought she was gaslighting her fan base.

One fan wrote in a post, “Sabrina Carpenter just gaslit the whole fanbase”.

Did she, though?

At the same time, another fan expressed sympathy for Carpenter’s fans at the show who missed out on the iconic bit.

No reason to be mad?

A fan account for the singer urged fans who were mad at the absent Juno position to “get help”.

Then another fan of the singer agreed and said in a post, “Are people seriously mad?? It’s April Fool’s Day, like obviously she’s gotta joke around. If you’re spending hundreds going to her show just to see what position she does on stage, you’re weird”.

We have to agree!
