It first hit our screens back in 2022.

And now fans have been treated to behind the scenes footage of season two of Wednesday.

The Netflix hit show is set to return to the streaming service next year, and will once again star Jenna Ortega as the titular character.

Emma Myers, who plays Wednesday’s best friend Enid Sinclair, will also return, as will Catherine Zeta-Jones as her mother Morticia Addams, and Luis Guzmán as her dad, Gomez Addams.

And among other returning names are some new famous faces – including Joanna Lumley, Billie Piper and Thandiwe Newton.

Tim Burton will also direct half of the eight episodes, as he did in season one.

The first series of the show broke records when it debuted in November 2022 – so it’s no wonder fans can’t wait to see what’s set to happen in series two.

In an interview with Variety, Ortega, 21, hinted, “We’ve decided we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more. Because it is so lighthearted, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, you don’t want to take yourself too seriously.

“We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.”

And show creators Al Gough and Miles Millar told The Hollywood Reporter, “We want to sort of explore and sort of complicate all of those relationships going forward. For us, the show also is really about this female friendship, with Wednesday and Enid really being at the center of that.

“The fact that they really connected with audiences, it has been really gratifying. So, we’re excited to explore now that Wednesday’s dipped her toe into the friendship pool, what’s that gonna look like? It’s like, she hugged. That was her big arc for the season.

“Then, the other thing that’s really interesting is to continue to explore the Wednesday-Morticia mother-daughter relationship as well, which now that Morticia knows about the power, it has given her sort of an idea of how that’s going to go. How is their relationship going to evolve?”

Promising to be “bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine”, fans were enthralled by the sneak-peek of the show – and took to Twitter/X to voice their opinions.
