Sabrina Carpenter has spent almost a year crushing the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.

But even pop stars are susceptible to a little heartache – as Carpenter sadly found out in December last year.

The Espresso singer, 25, sadly split with her boyfriend of just over a year, Barry Keoghan – with a source at the time citing, “They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.”

But in a turn of events, fans are now convinced that the Saltburn actor, 32, has won back Carpenter’s heart – after making a subtle hint towards the Taste hitmaker at Paris Fashion Week

Carpenter’s fans will be all too aware that the singer’s signature look involves a lot of heart-shaped cutouts to her clothes and shoes.

So they were intrigued to see father-of-one Keoghan wearing a huge love-heart broach on his lapel at the Valentino show on March 9.

Sabrina Carpenter fans think Barry Keoghan was ‘subtly’ hinting to her

Fans instantly picked up on Keoghan’s choice of accessory.

Labelling the heart broach as “Sabrina-coded”, someone commented, “The heart on his jacket though? Reminds me of Sabrina, is there any connection?”

Another agreed, “The heart on his jacket looks like the heart cutouts on her dresses.”

“Something in my gut tells me they’re still together on the down low,” wrote one, while another went on, “Bet they are still together secretly.”

“If it truly was an amicable break up and he’s just a boy going through heartbreak and ‘subtly’ letting her know he’s missing her with what looks like a cutout of her dress,” someone else added. “Wouldn’t that be cute?”

Sabrina Carpenter labels Irish boys ‘hard work’

Although Keoghan may be trying to give us a message, Carpenter had a few more direct words to say to her fans.

Performing on her Short n’ Sweet tour in Dublin last week, the Grammy winner told audiences in her ex’s hometown that Irish boys were “hard work”.

Speaking to her fans in the 3Arena, she said, “Dublin, it’s so lovely to be here. You all look and sound amazing. But my goodness, these Irish boys are hard work!”

Carpenter also delighted fans when she performed her hit Please Please Please, as she winked at the crowd and said, “This one’s for you, Dublin.”

The song is believed to be written about Keoghan, who also starred in the song’s music video.

Carpenter later ‘killed off’ the Oscar-nominee in the remixed version of the track, which she duets on with Dolly Parton.
