It’s one of the better horror reboots from the 00’s, complete with lots of gore and your classic suspense moments. My Bloody Valentine is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Valentine (2001)
Valentine is a slasher movie that follows a group of women in San Francisco who are stalked by a killer wearing a Cupid mask. The creepy killer is presumed to be the nerd who was teased and pranked by the women years earlier at school. The cast includes Denise Richards, David Boreanaz, Marley Shelton, Jessica Capshaw and Katherine Heigl. It’s a fun watch and a bit of a throwback to the slasher films that came in the 80s. It has a pretty killer soundtrack too. Valentine is available to stream on Apple TV+.
Lovers Lane (2000)
Before Anna Faris appeared in the slasher-spoof comedy film, Scary Movie, she played an ill-fated cheerleader in Lovers Lane. The film is based on the urban legend of The Hook – a killer with a pirate-like hook for a hand. It follows a group of teenagers who find themselves stalked and terrorized by a masked killer while visiting the infamous “Lover’s Lane” in their small town. It’s an entertaining and nostalgic watch with all the common traits of a decent slasher movie. Lovers Lane is available to stream on Apple TV+.
