Epic Games has announced the changes in Battle pass prices recently in a post— there is increase for the first time in the game’s history.

Battle Pass Price Hike and What It Means

The long-standing price of 950 V-Bucks has bid farewell to players now they will have to pay 1,000 V-Bucks for the standard Battle pass. While this might seem like a small jump, it’s a notable change for fans accustomed to Fortnite’s pricing consistency.

Fortunately, the cost of 1,000 V-Bucks in real money remains unchanged at $8.99, making it easier for players to digest this transition. But the price hike is just the tip of the iceberg. Epic has bigger plans to enhance the overall experience, especially for Fortnite Crew subscribers. They shared in the update that:

“For $11.99 a month, a Fortnite Crew subscription currently grants the Battle Royale Battle Pass, 1,000 V-bucks, monthly Crew Pack outfits, and the bonus benefits of Crew Pack outfit styles and Rocket League’s Rocket Pass Premium.”

Starting in December, the subscription will also include two additional Battle Passes:

“Starting December 1, Fortnite Crew will also include the Music Pass and LEGO Pass at no additional cost!”

Lesser Efforts, Amazing Rewards

That’s not all— the new Fortnite OG pass will also be launched, featuring the nostalgic content from the game’s early days. Epic Games mentioned,

“When any new passes arrive in Fortnite, they will also be added to your Fortnite Crew subscription, including the new Fortnite OG Pass!”

This new upgrade also lessens the grind— players don’t have to level up each battle pass separately and can unlock rewards across all active passes at the same time through the regular gameplay.

However, there’s a catch: if you cancel your Crew subscription, you’ll lose access to premium rewards after your billing period ends. Fortnite is gearing up to launch more engaging content. Thrilling additions are just around the corner, Chapter—  1 – Season 1 on December 6 and Chapter 6: Season 1, the launch date has not been revealed yet but players are expecting it to be a game changer.
