The Grand Theft Auto 6 community is buzzing again, fueled by a small yet intriguing update.

A New Trailer Tease? Rockstar Stirs the Pot

Rockstar updated its YouTube Playlist, shared by a Reddit user. Last year the update came out of the blue and revealed the game’s first groundbreaking trailer on 3 December 2023.

Now this minor change has sent fans into a frenzy, speculating that the long-awaited second trailer could be dropping soon, in the upcoming days. Trailer 1 shattered YouTube’s record for the most-watched non-music video debut, currently its views are over 200 million.

Since then Rockstar has maintained a radio silence, leaving fans looking for any clue and this Playlist update seems like a significant hint they needed the most. Here lies the twist, the fake AI-generated screenshots are also being circulated.

Moreover, this alteration doesn’t appear to hold much weight, considering it we can only come up with assumptions until the company issues an official statement.

From Delays to Hopeful Horizons

However, 2024 has been a ride of an emotional roller coaster for GTA 6 fans as they encountered news regarding delays multiple times. Once it was due to the political situation, the community started to anticipate Trump’s presidency’s impact on the game.

The other time was when the developers hinted that the game wouldn’t hit the screens until it reached perfection, continuing their tradition of providing a remarkable gaming experience.

Gladly, last month it was officially confirmed by Take-Two that the game will be released as planned in 2025. While all these rumors settled down another recent leak has just added to the excitement, suggesting that Rockstar has been quietly working on GTA 6 since 2020, employing the advanced RAGE engine.

This technology promises lifelike visuals with ray tracing, procedural generation for immersive open worlds, and simultaneous development for PC and consoles. While these leaks are yet to be confirmed, fans stay hopeful.

Currently, the community is optimistic about trailer 2 and expects that December might bring the next major reveal following last year’s pattern.
