Grand Theft Auto 6 enthusiasts are at it again with another theory, connecting dots in their quest for the highly anticipated second trailer of Rockstar’s blockbuster game—GTA 6.
The Number “27” Everywhere? Fans Think So!
After All other conspiracy theories turned out to be mere fantasy, fans are now digging up the game’s history, hoping to find clues in the most unlikely places. The latest idea was generated when a user shared an image on Reddit, displaying Bonnie and Clyde.
An infamous criminal duo who are believed to be the inspiration behind GTA 6 protagonists, Jason and Lucia. So what really drove fans crazy is the identification number— “1227” which the community is thinking of as December 27 (12/27).
Reddit users are calling it an amazing coincidence and hoping it to be true while some are already thinking about giving up if this time they won’t get the release of the new trailer.
Afterwards, these fans are busy looking for 27 anywhere that is linked to GTA 6 and they have found some intriguing hints so far: Rockstar’s official Instagram account currently hosts 27 posts.
Convincing Hints and Prevailing Skepticism
Moreover, @TREVORTRAILER further fueled the anticipation by dropping a post mentioning that,
“GTA VI TRAILER 2 WAS INSIDE TRAILER 1!! RELEASE OF GTA 6 TRAILER 2 DECEMBER 27 2024 !!”
The user made sense to the community by adding up the 8 and 4 as 12 and the given time as 27 (2+3+5+8+4+5) in the top right corner. Furthermore, Trevor decoded a police car license plate recently shown in the GTA Online holiday update blog post,
“Rockstar Games dropped a teaser for GTA 6 Online on December 19th, featuring yet another intriguing license plate: 6DW31980. Here’s the breakdown:
30/6/98 – This points directly to June 30, 1998, the release date of the first GTA on PlayStation.With D, W, and 1 left, where 1 is the first letter of the alphabet (A), we get DWA? leading to DMA! – the original creators of the GTA franchise.

23 + 4 = 27
Why aren’t I adding each number individually like before? Because I believe this is the key. Look at this:

While these findings might seem like a stretch, the fervor among fans is undeniable. Still, some fans are finding it arduous to believe as they have been disappointed multiple times when they expected to hear from developers the most.
