- Blanchard only announced intention to divorce last week
- Blanchard and husband Gary Anderson have said people will see the full story in upcoming TV show
- She was released from prison in December last year, having married Anderson in July 2022

Just days after filing for divorce from her husband of less than two years, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has taken out a temporary restraining order against him.
ET reported that Blanchard filed the restraining order against Ryan Anderson last Thursday (April 11).
The formal filing for divorce came a week after Blanchard announced in a private Facebook post – obtained by People – that the couple were separating and she had moved back in with her family.
Both Blanchard and Anderson have made limited comment since the news broke, although they have said separately that what “really happened” in their marriage will be seen in the upcoming documentary series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, which will be released in the next couple of months.
Blanchard and Anderson married in a prison ceremony July 2022 when the former was still in prison serving a sentence for the second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. They had first started corresponding with each other before the relationship became more serious.
The couple got to be together when Blanchard was released from prison last December, having served eight years of her 10-year sentence.
Since then, Blanchard has been readjusting to life on the outside, and has reportedly had rhinoplasty surgery – something that will also be covered in the upcoming documentary series.
Blanchard became famous for the sensational details that led up to her killing her mother, along with Nicholas Godejohn, but more so when Hulu’s series The Act, which dramatized the events, was shown in 2019. She has since been featured on various TV shows and at one point had 7.8 million followers on Instagram.
