- Gypsy Rose Blanchard reveals desire to have regular 9 to 5 job someday
- She also said she doesn’t see her fame lasting
- The 32-year-old has been in the spotlight since her release from prison last December

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has revealed that she would like to have a regular 9 to 5 job in the future, as she doesn’t see her fame lasting for an extended time.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Blanchard, who has been almost continuously in the spotlight since she was released from prison last December having served eight years of her sentence, looked to the future – one where she lives a quieter life.
Regular job
The 32-year-old said: “I’ve had wonderful opportunities, but I don’t see those lasting, and I think there comes a time where I have to make a choice. And that is, when do I say enough is enough? And I think after so long of having my name in the spotlight, that time is coming really soon.”
But she added that she is still adjusting to life back in society, and she would need to complete that process before she thinks about getting a regular job. “When things calm down and I have no obligations, I do want to get a 9 to 5, but first I have to learn the things that get me there,” she said.
When asked what she would like to do when the time comes that she is out of the glare of the media, Blanchard said that part of her would like to work in McDonald’s, or working in retail, such as at a makeup counter in a mall. “Because I love makeup,” she said.
Media spotlight
Blanchard, who came to prominence after she was jailed for murdering her mother Dee-Dee, achieved some fame while in prison after a documentary told the story behind how she came to take her mother’s life. Since being released, she has been interviewed many times, and is set to star in Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up later this year. She also has a cameo in the new series of The Kardashians on Disney+.
