Reality TV star and influencer Harry Jowsey has issued a warning to fans after he revealed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

The Australian-born star, 26, has asked his fans to “wear sunscreen”, especially with the summer months approaching where the sun is at its strongest.

Jowsey, who has appeared in shows such as Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle in 2020, as well as ABC’s Dancing With the Stars last year, and is also a successful podcaster, made the plea in a post to his five million followers on TikTok.

In his post, he revealed that he recently saw a dermatologist to get his skin checked and that skin cancer was found, although he didn’t say which type or what treatment he would receive. But he quickly added that the cancer isn’t serious and he expects to be “all good.”

Jowsey said he was going public with his diagnosis to urge his followers to protect their skin. “If you’re a freckly little frog like me, go get a mole map and get your body checked, because you never know,” he said in the post.

“I had this on my shoulder for like a year or two, I had no idea… Go get your skin checked, wear your sunscreen and a be a little bit more responsible because that’s what I’ve got to do now, and it’s very scary.” Jowsey is not the first star to have had skin cancer recently. Earlier this month, Twitch star Ninja told his followers he was cancer-free.
