Gaming fans waiting for the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will not have to be patient for much longer as MachineGames has confirmed the release dates for it.

PlayStation release

The game will be released on PC and Xbox Series X/S on December 9, with PlayStation 5 users having to wait until Spring 2025 to get their hands on it.

The announcement was made as part of Xbox’s Gamescom 2024. It provided the first official confirmation that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would be coming to PlayStation – Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer had previously indicated that the game would be an Xbox console exclusive. However, it is now part of Xbox’s recent initiative to allow more of its games onto other platforms.

In addition, MachineGames’ announcement gave users a flavor of the game by providing some screenshots, which show that the game is in keeping with the original films.

First person perspective

In the game, which is from a first-person perspective, gamers control Jones in his quest to find the secret to an ancient power connected to the Great Circle. The action is set between the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade films. Troy Baker has taken on the role of Jones, rather than Harrison Ford, who plays the character in the films.

The game is another indicator of the health of the Indiana Jones franchise. Earlier this week, a fedora hat used in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom sold for $630,000. The hat, previously owned by a stuntman on the film, was part of a larger auction of movie memorabilia.
