Jacob Elordi, the Australian actor known for his roles in movies such as “The Kissing Booth” and “Euphoria,” is under police investigation after being accused of assaulting a radio producer in Australia.
The incident occurred at the Clovelly Hotel in the Sydney suburbs, where Elordi was approached by Joshua Fox, a producer for “The Kyle & Jackie O Show.” The altercation reportedly started over a joke made by Fox, and it quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
The Incident at the Clovelly Hotel
According to Joshua Fox, he jokingly asked Jacob Elordi for his bathwater as a reference to a scene in the movie “Saltburn.” But Elordi allegedly did not take the joke lightly and demanded that Fox delete any footage of their interaction. Feeling intimidated, Fox refused to delete the video, as he believed it was the only evidence of the incident.
Fox described the tense situation, saying, “I’m backed against this wall. He’s right in my face, and his two boys are now on either side of me. It’s like a switch went off, and he’s becoming quite aggressive, and I’m feeling intimidated.” The producer stated that Elordi then pushed him against the wall and put his hands on his throat.
Investigation by the New South Wales Police
The New South Wales Police Force has confirmed that they are investigating the alleged assault outside the hotel. In a statement, they said, “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident are continuing.”
At this time, representatives for Jacob Elordi have not responded to requests for comment from NBC News.
