- Jason Kelce was providing analysis ahead of the ‘Brother Bowl’ between coaches Jim and John Harbaugh
- Jason only beat Travis once in the NFL
- Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles met Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LVII

Jason Kelce did not much care for playing against his brother, Travis. Or, at least, he did not care much for the results of playing against his brother.
The former Philadelphia Eagle was on hand on ‘Monday Night Countdown’ ahead of the ‘Brother Bowl’ between Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers and John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens. And while older brother John emerged victorious last night, with the Ravens running out 30-23 victors at SoFi Stadium, this is not a sensation that Jason Kelce was too familiar with during his clashes with younger brother Travis.
In fact, despite meeting each other several times over the years, Jason’s Eagles only ever beat Travis’ Chiefs once while the brothers were lining up on either side. That includes Super Bowl LVII, where the Chiefs reigned supreme with a 38-35 victory.
It’s a record that clearly rankles with the more senior Kelce brother, who gave a perfect response when asked what the experience of playing against his three-time Super Bowl winning kid brother was like.
“It’s annoying is what it is,” Kelce began, to much laughter on the Countdown panel, before continuing, “Because he’s so good, that’s why. They were very good. I was only fortunate to beat Trav once. But when you’re out there on the field getting ready to play your brother there’s just something about seeing your brother out there that you get these flashbacks going to being out in the backyard playing football again.”
"It's annoying. … They were very good."

Jason, who won the Super Bowl in 2017 with the Eagles, was certainly in a more chipper mood than a recent College Gameday appearance, which took place shortly after Kelce had confronted a fan outside Penn State University’s Beaver Stadium after receiving homophobic abuse regarding his brother dating Taylor Swift. Kelce reacted by grabbing the fan’s phone and smashing it on the ground before challenging the fan further. The former Eagles center would later express regret for how he handled the incident, although he received plenty of praise for his actions.
Younger brother Travis, meanwhile, could be on course for another Super Bowl appearance, this season, with the Chiefs currently sitting atop the AFC West with a 10-1 record after 11 games.
