Expansion: 26 New Titles in Development
The Japanese gaming powerhouse, home to popular studios- FromSoftware and Spike Chunsoft has confirmed that 26 games are currently in development, According to GameWatch (via Automaton).
FromSoftware has made a big name through incredibly successful installments like- Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Armored Core. While the Elden Ring’s expansion brought impressive revenue to the home. As per the financial report,
“Results in this segment were driven powerfully by strong domestic and overseas sales of downloadable content ELDEN RING SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE released by FromSoftware, Inc. and an increase in repeat sales of ELDEN RING. Consequently, net sales in this segment came to 18,149 million yen (up 32.8% year on year) with operating profit of 6,072 million yen (up 50.8%).”
Continued Success and Growing Influence
This thrilling announcement highlights Kadokawa’s goal of expanding its footprint in the gaming world. Peeping into this media company reveals that it claimed FromSoftware’s ownership back in 2014, set the stage for a new era in gaming.

However, fans were hoping for a sequel but as IGN reported, earlier this year Hidetaka Miyazaki mentioned in an interview,
“We don’t want to say this is the end of the Elden Ring saga for now.” We don’t have any current plans to make a second DLC or a sequel, but we definitely don’t want to snuff out that possibility. We think that there could well be something in the future.”
