Kendrick Lamar's Net Worth

The track was dropped with no title, but is being referred to as Watch The Party Die
Akademiks backed Drake in the summer beef with Kendrick
The DJ has already reacted multiple times to the new diss

Kendrick Lamar has been back in the booth, and he’s got DJ Akademiks running scared.

Sharing his first new song since Not Like Us, the upcoming Super Bowl half-time headliner dropped the five-minute track over a picture of a pair of black Air Force Ones on Instagram. Within minutes, countless reactions were being howled across social media as Akademiks, unsuccessfully, attempted to get ahead of the deluge of mockery that was coming his way.

Lyrics such as “Influencers talk down ’cause I’m not with the basic sh*t,” and “But they don’t hate me, they hate the man that I represent / The type of man that never d*ck ride ’cause I want a favor” certainly seem to reference the DJ, who is known for regularly heaping praise upon Drake. A few bars later, Kendrick is rapping “The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary/Let me know when they turn up as a casualty” which is, undeniably, ever so slightly darker than the previous lyrics.

Akademiks’ immediate reaction was, to be fair, very funny. Although he almost certainly didn’t intend for it to be, simply commenting “No no noooo” on Lamar’s post. The DJ followed up his initial response with further, more pointed criticisms of Lamar, claiming the new song was the “wrong move” and that “You can’t say there isn’t a game 2, then immediately drop a track seemingly baiting game 2”, a reference to Lamar’s comment about there being no game two’s during his Super Bowl announcement, which was of course rubbing salt into the wounds of Drake after his punishing defeat during the pair’s war of words over the summer.

Akademiks then took to Twitter to lash out at Lamar for dropping the song on 9/11, also highlighting how the Compton born rapper performed his recent pop out concert on Juneteenth, saying, “lol dropping on 9/11 . Pop out concert on Juneteenth . Wait lemme guess. New diss song on Halloween/ thanks giving / drake birthday/ Christmas. Bruh drop a single.. u just got announced as the headliner of superbowl . No Round 2s. Just drop em hits.”

Despite Akademiks’ bluster, he wasn’t impressing anyone, with social media remaining firmly in Kendrick’s corner.

Lamar’s use of black Air Force Ones for the song’s artwork also seemed to grip a few people’s attention…

Why do I get the feeling this is far from the last track Kendrick will be releasing over the next couple of months?
