Lets-a Go! Finally, LEGO has confirmed that a range of Mario Kart LEGO sets will be released in early 2025.

Range of characters

The sets will be released on January 1 and the characters available will include Yoshi, Toad, Donkey Kong, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi and Baby Princess Peach. The sets will range in value from $14.99 to $79.99.

Super Mario LEGO sets have been hugely popular since they were launched a few years ago. The good news for collectors is that these new sets will be compatible with existing sets and figures, including Mario, Luigi and Peach. As with all LEGO Mario sets, the characters will all make certain sounds – in these cases it will include horn honking, coin collecting, race starts and more.

LEGO say that with virbrant characters, customisable karts and unique track items, these sets will get fans’ creative engines revving as they can turn unexpected surfaces into the ultimate Mario Kart track.

The cheapest set will be the Yoshi Bike, which includes a light-blue Yoshi figures, a shell item and brick-built bike. The set will comprise 133 pieces.

Meanwhile the biggest set will be Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set, which will include Baby Peach in her Wild Wiggler kart, Lemmy in the Landship kart and Toad on a standard bike. In addition, the 823-piece set will include a starting gate and obstacles.

Beyond excited

“We are beyond excited to turbo-charge our LEGO Super Mario universe with the reveal of these latest Mario Kart sets, that we know fans have been eagerly waiting for,” said Simon Kent, design director at the LEGO Group. “WE can’t wait for builders of all ages to put their pedal to the metal and bring Mario Kart races to brick-built reality at home with friends and family.”
