  • Oasis frontman performed before huge title fight at Wembley Stadium
  • Liam recently reunited with brother Noel to reform Oasis for a massive 2025 tour
  • Social media erupted with reactions to Gallagher’s performance

Liam Gallagher took to the stage to perform an Oasis classic before Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois’ titanic heavyweight clash at Wembley Stadium in London, tonight.

The Oasis frontman sung Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Supersonic and Cigarettes & Alcohol from the band’s seminal 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe. Although, despite the hysteria surrounding the Mancunian band’s comeback after 15 years apart, not too many people were particularly impressed by Gallagher’s showing in the English capital.

Given the drama that has followed the band off the back of the ‘dynamic pricing’ scandal, involving the reunion tour ticket prices, the younger Gallagher’s showing on the Wembley stage, in front of a capacity crowd of 96,000 people, did little to encourage those who have parted with a small fortune to watch the brothers across the UK and Ireland next summer.

Gallagher was introduced by legendary boxing ring announcer Michael Buffer ahead of the IBF World Heavyweight Title fight between Joshua and Dubois, but the performance was anything but world championship calibre, according to many on social media.

As for the fight itself, Dubois dominated Joshua from start to finish, knocking him down in the first round, then again in the third before finishing things off with a devastating knockout in the fifth.
