Lords of the Fallen was released back in October 2023, and since then, its fans have been eagerly waiting for a sequel to arrive. The game introduced a thrilling storyline and threw players into a world where they could fight deadly enemies using a variety of melee weapons and magic.
The Lords of the Fallen sequel was confirmed back in June. Since then, everyone has been wondering what the current state of the sequel is, as CI Games has remained quiet about it. However, this has now changed, as the publishers have shared an important update regarding the upcoming game.
In a recent financial report shared by CI Games, it has been confirmed that the next major installment in the LOTF franchise, which is Lords of the Fallen’s sequel, is in “full production” and will be built on Unreal Engine 5. On top of that, the report also confirms the game’s exclusivity for PC, thanks to a major investment from Epic. This means that it won’t be available on Steam, at least not at launch.
What will the sequel offer?
The sequel is confirmed to offer gameplay improvements, such as “increased game mode optionality, more commercial art style and narrative, elevated production values.” On top of that, there will be a full “shared-progression” co-op mode along with a single player campaign.
At the moment, CI Games has not shared anything about when it will be released, but more details will be announced in 2025. If everything goes smoothly, the game will most likely arrive sometime in 2026. However, a delay can happen if something goes wrong during the development.
