- Marvel Rivals faces a cheating epidemic, with players encountering aimbots and other hacks
- Renowned streamers express frustration over cheaters, with some claiming that up to 60% of their games involve hackers
- Stronger anti-cheat measures are essential to preserve the competitive integrity of the game

Marvel Rivals is facing the curse of cheaters and hackers, frustrating players who support just gameplay. They have reported encountering cheaters in Ranked matches, ruining the experience for others.
The game released on December 6, 2024, is a superhero action game, that has quickly soared to the top of the gaming charts. Recently hit the record of 20 million players after some time of achieving the milestone of 10 million players in just three days of its launch.
With a peak of over 480,000 concurrent players on Steam, and still holding strong with nearly 360,000 active players, the game has instantly built a strong user base. However, despite its initial success, the game is getting plagued with issues that are meant to usually happen with most competitive online games.
Cheating Epidemic Ruining the Experience
Notably, prominent streamers like Eskay and bogur have shared their exasperation over encountering cheaters in European and American servers, GameRant reported.
The latter one mentioned, “60% of my games were cheaters today and it was NOT fun”. Players claim that these hackers use aim bots, to get an edge over others. Another X user Roflgator said, “There’s already aimbotters in Marvel rivals.
And on top of that there are people queuing with them taking the free rating and privating their profiles to try to hide it.” Players on every platform are sharing their experience and some are even questioning if reporting this actually works.
A Reddit user raised the concern saying, “Do reports on these players do anything?”, as some cheaters fearlessly boast about their actions without facing any consequences.
These unethical activities are noticed more in higher-ranked matches, still, those playing in lower ranks aren’t safe as well. It’s clear that the issue is widespread and needs immediate attention.
Considering the chaotic situation NetEase needs to take prompt and serious measures and bring a more effective system as banning the reported case hasn’t fixed it so far.
If developers sincerely aim to maintain their fanbase then it’s mandatory to improve the game in every aspect as introducing only new content and updates won’t do any good solely.
The key to resolving this issue will be the implementation of stronger anti-cheat measures. NetEase will need to prioritize this to prevent cheating from undermining the community and ruining the competitive spirit that made the game so popular in the first place.
Exciting New Content on the Horizon
Amid all this mess, Marvel Rivals leaks continue to play their part in keeping the community hyped and curious, a recent leak suggested the inclusion of new skins for Moon Knight and Squirrel Girl.
Furthermore, Marvel accidentally revealed the upcoming characters in the ad, Human Torch and The Thing will soon be a part of this exceptionally growing game. However, despite that players are eager to see more content, this cheating can dampen its success.
While the developers are actively working on solutions, it remains to be seen whether they can keep the player free of cheats and offer them a disruption gaming experience.
