Who are the Marvel Rivals voice actors?

The much-anticipated video game has landed, with a huge roster of playable characters – and an equally large cast of actors voicing them.

Third-person shooter Marvel Rivals, which is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, is free to play and features a line-up of 33 Marvel characters.

Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 player-versus-player game, played on environments that are destructible – and can therefore be changed to a player’s advantage.

But who is voicing the characters? Here are 10 that may be familiar from other games and shows.

Black Panther – James Mathis III

Mathis has voiced Black Panther in shows such as Avengers Assemble and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

Mantis – Colleen O’Shaughnessy

Fans of the Sonic The Hedgehog movies will know O’Shaughnessy – she is the voice of Tails in all three films. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 lands in cinemas later this month.

Dr Strange – Liam O’Brien

Fans of Critical Role – the weekly live show where voice actors play and voice Dungeons & Dragons campaigns – will know O’Brien, who has been a member of that crew since 2015.

Iron Man – Josh Keaton

Keaton is best known for voicing another iconic Marvel superhero – Spider-Man. He voiced Spidey in The Spectacular Spider-Man series. He was also Hercules in Disney show Young Hercules.

Magneto – James Arnold Taylor

Taylor is best known for his work on one of the other iconic sci-fi franchises, Star Wars. He voiced Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He was also Ratchet in the 2016 movie Ratchet & Clank.

Hulk – Fred Tatasciore

Tatasciore is a veteran voice actor and has worked on a huge number of TV shows and movies over the years, including Family Guy, What’s New, Scooby-Doo, Ben 10 and American Dad. In Wolverine & The X-Men, he voiced several characters, including Beast and Hulk.

Doctor Doom and Thor – Travis Willingham

Willingham bags two Marvel icons in this game. He is known in gaming circles for voicing Guile in the Street Fighter franchise and Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog (although not in the movies). He is another member of Critical Role.

Black Widow – Laura Bailey

Bailey makes it a family affair in Marvel Rivals – she is married to Willingham. She too is an established voice actor, with roles including Kid Trunks in the English dub of Dragon Ball Z. She was also Chun Li in Street Fighter X Tekken Vita.

Galacta – Cassandra Morris

Morris will be known to anime fans. She has had various roles in Yu-Gi-Oh! Over the years, as well as voicing characters in Pokemon and Sailor Moon in English dubs. She has also voiced Stacey in Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures.

Spider-Man – Yuri Lowenthal

Lowenthal has voiced Spidey in several video games already, including the Insomniac Games Marvel’s Spider-Man series. He also voiced Ben Tennyson in Ben 10: Alien Force, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Ben 10: Omniverse.
