They are one of Hollywood’s most recognizable young couples and have often been seen during this award season. Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi have been together for a few years.
Brown is an actress best known for her breakout role as Eleven on Stranger Things and Bonjiovi is known for being…well, a nepo baby. He is the son of musician and guitarist Jon Bon Jovi. Outside of that, he is a model and an actor. Hopefully, he’s not living on a prayer to outrun that connection.
Well, whatever you think of his connection to fame, it is a common part of Hollywood. A-listers and their children date other famous people, but you can’t help but love these two. Recently in a Vanity Fair interview, Brown shared insight into her life with her husband because yes, the young couple are married. Headlines were made they tied the knott in May 2024 when Brown was 20 and Bongiovi was 22 years old.

On their decision to marry young, Brown said: “We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want. It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.” Cute.

The couple have been linked since the summer of 2021. Previously Brown was linked to rugby player Joseph Robinson in 2020. However, Bongiovi hasn’t had many public relationships before his wife.
2021 – Dating rumors and the beginning
The rumors that the couple were dating began in June 2021. The 22-year-old posted a photo of himself and Brown posing in a car and captioned the photo, “Bff”. Starting as friends is always better, they say.
Following the selfie soft launch, the two were spotted later that month holding hands in New York City as they walked around. Brown’s dog Winnie was also in attendance.
Leading into autumn in November 2021, the two cemented their relationship on Instagram. A photo was posted by Brown of her hugging Bongiovi in a blurry photo inside the iconic London landmark The London Eye.

2022 – Established relationship of Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown
As 2022 began the couple were established and were enjoying their time together. On 18 February they celebrated Brown’s 18th birthday. She was dressed looking like Barbie and he as Ken (the boy is a model) and captioned it, “Hey Ken!”.
Another milestone came in March when the couple walked their first red carpet together at the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards in London.
That May, Brown posted a photo of her and Bongiovi jumping High School Musical style on the beach with the caption, “Happy birthday baby, can’t wait to fly to the moon and back with you! (Schroobie noobie)”. Sickenly sweet, but still cute.
Also in May the model and the actress made their debut in the Stranger Things universe, as Bonjiovi attended the premiere of Stranger Things 4. Does anyone think he’ll be at Stranger Things 5? At the end of that month, Brown posted a photo of her boyfriend visiting her on set. In August, they even visited the Stranger Things experience.
Later in October, Bongiovi accompanied his girlfriend to another premiere, the premiere of her Netflix hit Enola Holmes 2. In November, Brown dished to WIRED on how they met and revealed they met in the most Gen-Z way. “We met on Instagram,” she confessed. “And we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?”
2023 – Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown get engaged
The 21-year-old kicked off 2023 by reflecting on her year with a photo booth set of photos of her and her boyfriend. In her caption, she notably calls him “her partner for life”.
The model did the same and posted a selfie of him and Brown to ring in the new year. He did the same on 19 February, the day after Brown’s 19th birthday.
In April 2023, the young loved-up couple made headlines when they got engaged. This made the news since Brown was only 19 and Bongiovi was only 20. The actress posted the viral black-and-white photo of Bongiovi hugging her from behind with the gorgeous ring in the shot. She looked as if she was crying and she captioned the photo, “I’ve loved you three summers now honey, I want ’em all”. The caption is a reference to Taylor Swift’s 2019 hit Lover.
The following month during Bongiovi’s birthday in May she called him her fiancé for the first time publicly. As summer came, the couple had a swanky engagement party in June to celebrate their milestone. Towards the end of the summer, Brown spoke about how she knew she was meant to marry her fiancé. She also spoke about the engagement, revealing he proposed with one of her mom’s rings.

December came and Brown spoke about joining the family for American Thanksgiving food. She said, “Obviously, I’m British, so I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving,” She said. “Jake’s mom’s cooking was amazing. I really went into it thinking, ‘Turkey’s turkey, how good can it be?’ But Jake’s mom made the best roast turkey.”
2024 – More Love and the Millie Bobby Brown & Jake Bongiovi wedding
The month of love came, and the Stranger Things star spoke about how Bongiovi proposed. The proposal was done underwater! What a very celebrity thing to do. Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she said: “We go under, and we’re many meters down. He gives me a shell and I turn it over and it’s a ring.”

“Anyways, he puts the ring on my hand, and as I go to show him, the ring falls off my finger, plummets like, so fast, it was like a cinematic movie,” she continued.
On 24 May, news broke that the couple were married. Outlets reported they had got married secretly in a private ceremony. A ceremony was held in Italy Villa Cetinale as a second wedding. Around October, about five months after they married, the two shared photos of their stunning ceremony.
October 2024 – present
Since October 2024, the couple has been increasingly public, attending various premieres and being candid on Instagram. They attended the premiere of Brown’s latest film, The Electric State on 20 February.
The blonde hair was debuted by Brown at the premiere of the film. When asked what she had learned almost one year into marriage she gave a candid answer.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said: “I think it’s taught me how grateful you should be to enjoy connection, love and friendship. I’ve had such a joy to be married for a year already. It’s felt two seconds, so just cherish and hold onto all the amazing moments you get to experience with your loved ones.”
