She’s the former child star who shot to fame in the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things.
But now Millie Bobby Brown is all grown up – and has tied the knot with her beau, Jake Bongiovi.
The actor, 20, and her model partner, 22 – who is the son of 80s rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Hurley – appeared to hint at their happy news when they waved their gold wedding bands at photographers during an outing in the Hamptons, where they are said to have wed on Friday May 24.
And Bon Jovi later confirmed that the nuptials had taken place during an appearance on the UK chat show, The One Show.
“They are great, they are absolutely fantastic,” said the singer, 62. “It was a very small, family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true.”
A source also told The Sun, “Millie and Jake quietly said their vows in America last weekend.
“They are planning a bigger ceremony in the US later this year but now they have legally married and done all the paperwork.
“It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows.”
‘They’re going to be great together’
Brown and Bongiovi were first linked back in 2021, and got engaged in April last year.
Showing off her ring to her 63.4 million Instagram followers, Brown quoted Taylor Swift’s song Lover, and wrote, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Brown gave an insight into the engagement.
“I’ve always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake,” she told the outlet. “They were in cahoots about the whole proposal. I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me.”
She added of the moment they met, “I ran to my mum and said, ‘I really, really like him!’ After we met we knew we never wanted to leave each other’s side. You can’t pinpoint why, it’s just the feeling of knowing that that’s the person you want to spend the rest of your time with.
“I think so much of life is overthinking. The one thing that made clear sense to me was him. So I didn’t really have to do much thinking.”
Bon Jovi has also made his feelings towards Brown clear.
“I’ve gotten to know her in the last year, she works really hard, and she and Jake will grow together in their own way,” he previously said. “It is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago and I think, with the support of family around them, they’re going to be great together.”
