With another year of social media finished, we have certainly seen some highs and lows – and these most viral Tiktoks of 2024 prove it.

On the popular video app, we’ve seen the rise of many new stars, such as CookingwithKya and Leah Halton. We have also seen some of the most viral TikToks, controversies, and influencer drama. With the app possibly being banned in the USA in 2025, we might not have another year to recount all the viral moments – good and bad.

The proposed ban has been public knowledge since May, but President-Elect Donald Trump has said: “he’d take a look at it”. Whether he will be able to stop it, we don’t know. However, being one of the biggest social media sites, viral moments on TikTok certainly make for interesting viewing.

In no particular order, we count down our favorites below…

Most Viral TikToks of 2024

Leah Halton

One of the most if not the most viral TikToks of 2024 launched the career of influencer Leah Halton. The TikTok shows Halton in her car lip-syncing to the trendy song Praise Jah In The Moonlight by Bob Marley’s grandson, YG Marley.

Halton won Video of The Year for the video which has 57 million likes and 2 million comments. In fact, the video did help launch Halton as an influencer, she even appeared on the YouTube reality show Locked In this year.

Pray4gabs Chocolate Covered Strawberries

The chocolate-covered strawberries viral moment was bizarre but honestly, we were here for it. User @pray4gabs gave us a legendary chocolate strawberries video in which she was zooming in and out on a bowl of the sweet treat.

The song playing as the zooms occur is What You Won’t Do For Love by Bobby Caldwell. The inspo behind this trend was to make the most random things viral, AKA a bowl of chocolate-covered strawberries. The video currently has 50 million likes. Nice work, Gabs.

Camila Pudim Indian Makeup Transformation

TikToker Camila Pudim already has 25 million followers on the app but she had one of her most viral TikToks this year. Her Indian makeup transformation video shows Pudim lip-syncing to Bollywood hit San Sanana while participating in the Asoka makeup trend. Asoka is a 2001 Bollywood movie where the makeup is very prominent. The video has almost 40 million likes.

Legendary Jay Uno Cinematic Movie

Many people were outraged when Jay didn’t win Video of The Year. Rightly so, because the TikToker made a whole movie. The video has 31 million likes and is a cinematic version of what happens when you win in the game Uno.

In comparison to other videos, it is one of the most viral TikToks of the year. Featuring lots of slow-mo action shots and amazing anime-esque transitions, it’s like watching anime with real people. Jay directed, edited, and wrote the script for the video, so he deserves every bit of clout he got from his viral hit.

@legendaryjay_

Bro Uno is one of the BEST ways to ruin your friendship lmao. Like don’t play that game unless you want no friends. They can really get intense though I swear. Nothing is worse than getting slammed with all the draw 4s like my boy Astroo did😂 Also, I know I keep dropping and disappearing but it was for a good reason! This project not only took me a long time because I put my soul it, but because I was making BIG MOVES behind the sceeeneess. Huge announcement coming soon! #anime #uno #games #legendaryjay

Baby Dancing to Halloween Theme

Everyone loves a good baby video. This TikTok by Brian Schwartz shows a baby joyfully dancing. You think, ‘aw, cute’ – but guess what the song is? The theme to Halloween. Halloween, as in the cult-classic horror film with Michael Myers embarking on his killing spree. We’d say whatever floats your boat, but that baby doesn’t have a clue. The video has 30 million likes. Not bad for 2 months!

Wolves Howling Outside Cabin

Michee Don spends a lot of time with wolves, which is apparent in this video. The video shows a cosy cabin in Quebec with Don filming the wolves howling outside the window all in unison. However, the video doesn’t end there, the wolfpack doesn’t stop for the entire video, probably howling at the moon.

Don spends much of his time with the wolves as his TikTok account is flooded with shots of the wolves in their natural habitat. They are beautiful creatures, but they might rip your face off. Don’s video currently has 29 million likes.

Eating 100 Litres of Strawberries

Apparently our bro likes fruit. Everyone seems to love strawberries this year, too. User @wallyreally went viral in May for a video where he supposedly ate 100 liters of strawberries. Wally’s video shows him eating the strawberries from a tank in a 1-minute montage video complete with a time-lapse of how many hours it took.

In total, it was 12 hours. However, the video is controversial because many users think it’s fake, although whether real or fake, the video earned Wally over 24 million likes. Not bad.

Damon Geis First-Class Singapore Airlines

Damon Geis is living a life of luxury. In this video, Geis shows us an exclusive look into a first-class flight on Singapore Airlines. Geis shows us his room, complete with a double bed, chairs, a huge TV, exclusive pjyamas, and an en-suite bathroom. Geis brands himself as a Luxury Content Creator and travel influencer and this video earned him 22 million likes.

Babies Crying Because Of Cactus Toy

You didn’t think we could have this list without cute babies, did you? Well, @ehculo’s montage video of babies crying because of a cactus toy certainly made our list. The minute-long video is a compilation of already posted clips of babies crying because of a cactus toy.

The cactus toy is part of many of the most viral TikToks this year. It dances and mimics audio of sounds a person says or makes. While we are very curious as to why the babies hate the cactus, we can’t deny it isn’t adorable – and 19 million others agree.

Football Managers’ Amazing Skills

This video by @official.footballhd is one of our favorites, purely because it showcases true management and sportsmanship. The video begins with Leeds United manager Daniel Farke conducting an unreal touch, followed by ranked skills of different football managers. The video has 18 million likes and is a testament to many who have played the sport and come out on top.
