- PGA Tour 2K25 uses new EvoSwing mechanic to add more realism to a player’s swing

PGA Tour 2K25 is teeing off with enough new and updated features to fill every fairway on Augusta.
The first release in 2K’s PGA Tour series since 2022’s PGA Tour 2K23, 2K25 seems to be more than making up for lost time with an extensive array of updates.
Fronted by cover star trio Tiger Woods, Matt Fitzpatrick and Max Homa, PGA Tour 2K25 allows players to step onto the tee box and take their best shot with several major advances in the game’s technology, including upgraded graphics and the addition of new EvoSwing mechanics, offering a host of new shot types, ball flights, roll physics, and visual improvements. The new Perfect Swing difficulty setting offers beginner players a more forgiving, intuitive experience, while veteran players will enjoy a more relaxing round.
As well as improved swinging being on the menu, there will also be a franchise first, with players now able to put their new and improved swings to the test on some of golf’s grandest stages in a bid to become a legend at golf’s three Majors – the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club, the 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, and The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club – marking the franchise debut for all three iconic venues.
And it wouldn’t be a major sporting gaming franchise without a creation suite and career mode that is able to consume your entire life more than Happy Gilmore did in the mid-late ’90s, would it? Fortunately, 2K have gone bigger than one of Happy’s drives with the evolution of their MyPLAYER and MyCAREER modes. Players can still choose from five archetypes: Powerhouse, Technician, Magician, Greenskeeper, and Sculptor, to match their preferred play style. Apparel options are available from licensed brands, including adidas, FootJoy and Malbon Golf. Clubs and balls come courtesy of brands such Callaway, COBRA, Mizuno, PUMA, and Titleist can deck out players’ golf bags and keep them swinging in style.
And, as if creating your own PGA hopeful and embarking on a Majors-littered career with them wasn’t enough, you can even turn architect and design your own dream course with new tools, surfaces, and items available to create even more intricate courses, faster than ever before. Plus, new camera systems let designers show off their custom courses in all their beauty. Here’s hoping 2K include windmills and enormous clown heads to putt through, because let’s face it, that’s what every golf fan is secretly wanting to see from a golf major – the addition of Crazy Golf staples to the professional game.
