- The White Iverson star claims he was a loner before becoming a household name
- Malone has gone onto sell over 80m records and has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards
- Malone is now engaged and has a daughter with his fiance
Post Malone has opened up about his love life pre-Grammy nominated levels of fame and has revealed how he used to be a”loner” before his career got sent into the stratosphere with the release of White Iverson in 2015.
Six albums later and Malone is engaged and has a daughter, but the F-1 Trillion rapper-turned-country singer didn’t have much luck in love before everything changed in 2015.
Sitting down for an episode of Theo Von’s This Past Weekend, the 29-year-old explained how tough it was for him in the early days. When asked by Von if he had been a ladies man earlier in life, Malone quickly stated “absolutely not”.
“I got stood up at homecoming. All my crushes like…it never worked out for me. And then the money came…and it was awesome. This is how this works.”
Malone joked on the podcast that he couldn’t remember when he was first successful with “the opposite sex” and that he must have “probably made a million bucks” when he finally did.
The nine time Grammy nominee is believed to have sold somewhere in the region of 80m albums since his 2016 debut Stoney. Despite his enormous global fame, Malone’s current relationship with his fiance, Jamie, is extremely private, which is no mean feat in the modern age of social media and paparazzi.
The Beerbongs and Bentleys star is currently in the early stages of a newfound country era, releasing F-1 Trillion in the middle of last month with a tracklisting featuring the likes of Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr, Morgan Wallen, Tim McGraw and Chris Stapleton. Earlier this year Malone appeared on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter album, on the track Levii’s Jeans.
