  • The 14-time World Champion revealed the staggering stat during an interview with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes
  • Orton clocked up the hours during an 18 month injury lay-off
  • “I wish you were a fellow tarnished”

Randy Orton is known for a lot of things both inside and outside of a WWE ring. Over the course of his storied, world title laden wrestling career, Orton has accumulated countless iconic moments en route to what is sure to be a future Hall of Fame induction. Along the way the master of the RKO has also found himself in hot water with both WWE management and sometimes law enforcement, as he discussed in an almost hour long interview with WWE Champion and former Legacy stablemate Cody Rhodes.

And while Orton referencing his multiple suspensions and an incident involving dynamite and being pursued by ‘federales’ in Mexico will come as no surprise to longtime WWE fans familiar with the 14-time WWE Champion’s history, what they may have been staggered by was the revelation that Orton, at 44 years of age, has clocked in over 600 hours on Elden Ring.

Sat on Rhodes’ tour bus for the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Orton explained how his recent lengthy layoff following spinal fusion surgery was a major contributing factor to his massive amount of time spent on the game.

“I f**king love Elden Ring,” Orton begins when Rhodes brings the title up, “I almost don’t wanna say. In February it’ll be three years since this game came out and, also, let me preface this next statement by saying I was out with spinal fusion surgery, so I had a lot of time on my hands. I’ve got like 600 hours on the game.

“I love that game. You (Cody) don’t have the time for it now and I understand why, but I would love to chop it up with you about some Elden Ring, trust me. I wish you were a fellow tarnished, but you’re not.

“Brother, I get lost in it. The kids go to sleep, I give my wife the iPad and say ‘buy stuff on Amazon’ and I’ll just play. Oh God, it’s like Christmas every day at my house.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Orton also reveals that he auditioned for the role of Cable in Deadpool 2, but never received a call back. The role eventually went to Josh Brolin. If there’s ever an Elden Ring movie made, though, he could be a shoo in for a lead role. Before then though, the former Evolution member has to focus on the ever so slightly large task of dethroning GUNTHER as World Heavyweight Champion at Bash In Berlin in Germany on August 31.
