Black Doves season 2

Sky thriller Black Doves is back for another season of suspense and betrayal from November 5 on Netflix. The first season was a huge hit in 2024, and understandably there is plenty of hype for the new season. Keira Knightley is back as Helen who continues to live her double life as a spy betraying state secrets to The Black Doves organisation. Matters ratchet up a notch as Helen’s husband is now focused on becoming prime minister. Ben Wishaw returns as Helen’s trigger man Sam, as does Sarah Lancashire, the mysterious head of the Black Doves. New additions to the cast include Babou Ceesay and Sam Riley.

Rivals season 2 part 2

The 1980s-set show, based on Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire Chronicles, is back and full of drama, scandal and sex once again. Tony Baddingham is still trying to stay on top, despite the loss of wife Monica at the end of the first part of the season earlier in the year. Meanwhile, the will-they won’t-they between Rupert Campbell-Black and Taggie O’Hara continues – will they ever be honest with each other? New episodes air on Disney+ from November 11.

Yellowjackets season 4

The fourth and final season of Yellowjackets arrives on Paramount+ from November 20, with hopes that all the questions that the previous three series have thrown up from that fateful plane crash are finally answered.

Still told in dual timelines – the time of the crash and present day – fans will want to see unravelled what happened to the teens when they are forced to survive in the wilderness, and how it informs who they became years later and why they did what they did.

St Denis Medical season 3

The hospital mockumentary returns for a third season on November 3 on NBC and Peacock. The lives and misadventures of the staff of an underfunded Oregon hospital are back as they try to treat patients as best as they can while fighting against the system – and sometimes each other. The regulars from season two are back in this second season of 18 30-minute episodes. Damon Wayans also joins the cast for the first episode, and his character causes ructions in the emergency department, which is already trying to deal with the fallout from events at the end of the previous season.

The Altruists

This new series from showrunner Jacqueline Hoyt (best known for The Good Wife and The Leftovers, among others) is a biopic about one of the biggest tech frauds of recent years, the rise and swift fall of FTX cryptocurrency exchange earlier this decade.

In eight hour-long episodes, The Altruists focuses on the story of Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, who start out as two super-smart idealists who seek to remake the global financial system and initially find huge success – and riches – before it all comes crashing down and there is a warrant out for their arrest. Watch from November 19 on Netflix.
