What happened to the snake and the woman?
The woman was dining out at The Patron Mexican Restaurant in Sandston, Virginia. After enjoying her meal, Carletta Andrews was hit (literally) with the animal, which fell from the ceiling and landed in her margarita glass.
At least it had a cool landing!
Andrews captured a photo of the reptile chilling in her glass. A reptile with a side of trauma.

Unfortunately, Andrews was shaken by the incident. You can see her interview on ABC 8 News here.
Andrews’ interview
I leaned in to take a sip, and I noticed something hit me on the forehead. I looked at my husband like, ‘What was that? ‘ And when I turned around, I saw the snake in my margarita,” Andrews said.
At that point, the reptile had wrapped around the straw for her drink.
The staff at the restaurant had a hard time catching the animal, as they tried to get it with a stick. But they were unsuccessful. She also said a man who was having dinner on the bar’s other side intervened and captured it.
After such a traumatizing experience, she left the restaurant “shaking” and she was “traumatized”, she said.
In the interview, the reporter spoke to the restaurant owner, who said it may’ve used the air conditioning unit to get into the establishment.
The owner claimed that they comped the meal, but Andrews’ trauma remains.
Reportedly, thanks to the news report, it came to light that the restaurant violated several health codes, including missing ceiling tiles and mould, back in December, allegedly. Maybe the snake could’ve gotten in that way?
Horrified, Andrews took to Facebook to post the photo, which went viral.
Commenters expressed their horror at the incident, while others claimed it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
She probably won’t be able to drink a margarita again…
Still, if you were living in Australia, you may find a tarantula or lizard in your toilet. No biggie…
