Respawn Entertainment is said to be developing a first-person Mandalorian video game.

In news that will delight fans of the Star Wars universe, Respawn Entertainment is in the early stages of developing the game, according to Insider Gaming.

It is thought that in the game, players will play as a Mandalorian bounty hunter and take on tasks to earn money. The game will be set during the time when the Empire is in control of the galaxy. It is also thought that the trademark Mandalorian jetpack will also be included as a part of the game, as well as a plethora of weapons and gadgets that can be access to fight and capture bounties – be they dead or alive.

But Insider Gaming also report that the game won’t be open world, rather linear levels set on different planets. It is also not yet confirmed if it will be multiplayer or not.

Respawn Entertainment has a strong history with handling Star Wars titles. The developer has produced Star Wars Jedi series – and is working on a third instalment in the franchise currently. The company is also currently working on two unnamed Star Wars games – a first-person shooter and a strategy game.

The company is also known for the Apex Legends battle royale game, which has been released across multiple platforms and continues to be hugely popular four years after its initial release.

A Mandalorian Star Wars game should come as no surprise as the Mandalorian show on Netflix has been immensely popular in recent years.

While the prospect of a Mandalorian game is exciting news, gamers will have to wait some time to get their hands on the game: Insider Gaming says it is a couple of years away from being released – at least.
