Streaming giant Netflix has reportedly suffered a major Stranger Things season 5 leak.
The issue was first reported by the entertainment site What’s On Netflix. The outlet suggested that the leak took place on Saturday 22 February 2025.

As a result, spoilers for the show’s hotly tipped final season are believed to have made their way online, with Netflix scrambling around to remove social posts, TikTok and YouTube videos, and any other internet posts that feature key details.
After suffering previous similar leaks, Netflix was reported to be “aggressively” taking action to stop their spread across the Internet. However, with fan anticipation for Stranger Things 5 at an all-time high, putting the genie back in the bottle is easier said than done.

Stranger Things season 5 leak details
As mentioned above, the Stranger Things season 5 leak reportedly took place on 22 February. It was believed to have contained release date information, spoilers related to upcoming plot points and other key assets related to the show’s final season.
While avoiding any of these spoilery specifics, Tech Radar reports that over 400 different assets were accessed by the leaker, including 90 pages of confidential information related to the show.
This leak marks the second major data breach in six months.
The first suggested that Stranger Things season 5 will debut later in 2025 and could be split in two parts. According to the same Tech Radar report, the show’s most recent leak apparently confirms these details.
That said, it’s important to note that nothing has been confirmed by Netflix thus far.
When is Stranger Things season 5 released?
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is currently without a release date. However, it’s expected to drop in late 2025 and could potentially be split into two separate parts, similar to how Stranger Things 4 was released.
While we’ll have to wait a little longer for an official release date strategy from Netflix, we do have episode title details for Stranger Things 5.
These were released on Stranger Things Day 2025, which is 6 November AKA the same date that Noah Schnapp’s Will Byers first disappeared into the Upside Down.
According to a YouTube video, Stranger Things season 5 will have episodes with the titles The Crawl, The Vanishing of ?, The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape From Camazotz, The Bridge and The Rightside Up.
