- The metal truck is coming in the next update to Fortnite
- New weapons are also coming in the ever-popular battle royale game’s update
- Collaboration was announced by video starring Fishstick on Instagram

Fortnite is famous for its collaborations, but here is one from leftfield – in the latest update players can now get behind the wheel of a Cybertruck.
The angular metal truck from Tesla – owned by Elon Musk – is now available to buy in the store.
Fishstick stars
The trailer on Fortnite’s Instagram feed announcing the collab shows Fishstick pulling vehicles in a tug o’ war in a Cybertruck while blowing a kiss to the audience – although the small print points out that isn’t actual gameplay. The trailer is a reference to a Tesla video of a Cybertruck engaging in a tug o’ war with a Ford 4×4.
This is the first official time the Cybertruck has appeared in a game – previously fans have made unofficial mods to games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Rocket League – but now users can buy it for real.
The comments section went wild, as you might expect. While some expressed their excitement, others took to roasting the iconic truck. One poster said, “Can’t wait to get stuck for no reason” and another said: “Cybertruck works better in Fortnite than irl is wild”.
Controversy
The Cybertruck – which starts at $80,000 to buy – has not been without controversy since it began arriving with customers in November 2023. Back in April, various Cybertruck owners took to social media and places like The Tesla Owner’s Club forum to air their grievances about how their truck had broken down soon after taking delivery of it.
The Cybertruck is one of several updates that have landed in the game, including things like new weapons and some returning favorites.
