Walton Goggins has fanned the flames of a rumour that he has fallen out with his The White Lotus star, Aimee Lou Wood.

The actor played Wood’s character Chelsea’s boyfriend Rick in the third season of the HBO series. At the beginning of its run, they appeared to have made a great friendship while shooting on location in Thailand. However, there has since been speculation that their friendship has unravelled.

In a now-deleted Instagram Story, Goggins posted the SNL sketch, titled White Potus, satiring both the show and the Trump administration. He dubbed it “smashing” while making a gag about his role being played by Mad Men star Jonn Hamm, channelling a Robert F Kennedy Jr style character.

“Jon I knew I was miscast,” referencing

This came after Wood called out for how it was horrible about her appearance. They notably tried to use her teeth as a great source of comedy. Expressing her offence, she posted on her Instagram Story about how she understood the value of a joke, but this was too far.

What happened with Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood?

Well, no one seems to know really. Everyone thought it was all going swimmingly between the co-stars. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed Goggins and Wood no longer follow each other on Instagram.

Despite this, the Righteous Gemstones star marked the end of the Mike White-created show with a tribute on the social media platform. He posted a carousel of black-and-white pictures of her, soundtracked with the Fleetwood Mac classic Silver Springs.

The caption also caught fans’ attention for how melodramatic it was.

“To me, ours was a love story. It was only ever a love story, hindered by unresolved, childhood trauma. We all have them… but can we move past them. In the depths of our despair there is always beauty around us. If we can sit with our pain, just sit with it… not react… not be defined by it…It’s there… the love the world is constantly giving in any given moment is there, giving us the opportunity to tell it,” he said in the caption.

“Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget,” Goggins wrote.
