Jake Gyllenhaal is to play the lead in M Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, the latest in a long line of high-profile movies he has starred in.
Variety reported that Jake will appear in the as-yet-unnamed film that Shyamalan is working on. The romantic thriller is a joint work – it will also be a novel written by Nicholas Sparks, although Shyamalan is writing the screenplay independently.
Jake will be seen in two upcoming movies, In The Grey by Guy Ritchie and The Bride!, which was directed by Jake’s sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Jake has been appearing in movies since he was a child and has had starring roles in everything from cult classic thrillers to Marvel superhero blockbusters over the years.
