Conclave is a papal thriller based on the best-selling novel by Robert Harris about the selection of a new pope.

Many loved it for its striking costumes, Catholic iconography, scheming cardinals, and so many other reasons.

Directed by Edward Berger, it starred Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini, Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow.

It was an award season darling, gaining many nods at many ceremonies such as the Oscars. Categories it was acknowledged in included Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. The former award was won by Conclave’s screenwriter Peter Straughan.

Where can you stream Conclave?

The day that Pope Francis died was just after Peacock removed it from its streaming library.

However, perhaps jumping on the moment or just a coincidence, the flick is now available to view for Amazon Prime Video customers.

What was Pope Francis’ cause of death

Pope Francis was revealed to have died after suffering a stroke. Prior to this, the 88-year-old had suffered from a bout of double pneumonia

Among Pope Francis’ last actions on Earth included meeting with the US Vice President JD Vance.

“Today I met with the Holy Father Pope Francis. I am grateful for his invitation to meet, and I pray for his good health. Happy Easter!,” he wrote on X.

Along with this, Pope Francis used his Easter address to call for peace amid the violence in Gaza from Israeli military violence.

“I appeal to all those in positions of political responsibility in our world not to yield to the logic of fear which only leads to isolation from others, but rather to use the resources available to help the needy, to fight hunger and to encourage initiatives that promote development. These are the ‘weapons’ of peace: weapons that build the future, instead of sowing seeds of death!,” he said
