It’s election day and as America heads to the polls to decide its future, celebrities have taken to the internet to publicly back the person they believe should be the next President.

Shortly before voting day began, podcaster Joe Rogan publicly revealed that he would be backing former President Donald Trump. The comedian shared the news via a post on the Elon Musk-owned X platform while revealing that it was Musk who managed to convince him to back the divisive Republican.

“The great and powerful @elonmusk. If it wasn’t for him we’d be fucked,” said the podcaster. “He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.

“For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump.”

The message queued up a new episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, which featured Musk as its guest. This confirmation of Rogan’s political leanings provides a definitive answer to his mindset and ends a few weeks of speculation.

Despite previously suggesting that he might be “crazy” and a “sociopath”, Roagn welcomed Trump onto his podcast in late October for a three-hour chat. While conversations reportedly swirled regarding a similar appearance from Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, this ultimately didn’t materialise.

While Rogan is the latest celebrity to endorse a political candidate, he certainly isn’t the only famous face to share their political leanings with the world – but which celebrities who have endorsed Harris and which celebrities have endorsed Trump?

Let’s take a look…

Over the past few months and weeks, many different celebrities have voiced their support for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her Vice President pick Tim Walz. However, here are a few of the biggest names who have made their feelings known.

Popular musicians like Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, Rhianna, Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna have all backed Harris and Walz, alongside fellow singers like Cardi B, Willie Nelson and Stevie Nicks.

Eminem recently attended a rally and showed his support for the Democrats, encouraging former President Barack Obama to rap the lyrics to one of his songs. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny publicly endorsed Harris following the backpack to Trump’s recent Madison Square Garden rally in which comedian Tony Hinchcliffe shared offensive jokes about Puerto Rico

Billy Eilish, Chappell Roan, Usher, Lizzo and even Insane Clown Posse have shared their support for team Harris. However, among all of the musicians to back Harris and Walz, Taylor Swift’s support is perhaps the most valuable. The singer shared her leanings in an Instagram post back in September.

Sports stars like LeBron James told his followers “the choice is clear” when announcing that he would be voting for Harris and Walz and a multitude of actors have also vocalised similar support, too.

These include former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Will Ferrell, Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Robert DeNiro, Whoopi Goldberg, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Lee Curtis, George Clooney, Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Lawrence, among many others.

The Avengers even recently reunited to show their support, with MCU stars Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle and Dana Gurira posting a video revealing they will be backing Harris and Walz.

Star Wars actor Harrison Ford confirmed that he will be backing Harris too, explaining that he wanted the country to “move forward.”

In addition to Rogan, many other celebrities have emerged online to voice their support for Republican presidential candidate Trump. These include YouTuber Jake Paul, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, UFC personality Dana White and musicians like Amber Rose, Kid Rock and Azealia Banks.

Musician Nicky Jam was originally a supporter and appeared at a Trump rally before renouncing their endorsement after the former president’s Madison Square Garden event.

When it comes to actors, Trump can count the likes of Mel Gibson, Jon Voight, Dennis Quaid and Rosanne Barr as his supporters, with Shazam actor Zachary Levi recently voicing his support for the Republican too.

Of course, Musk is one of Trump’s biggest and most influential cheerleaders, alongside athletes like wrestler Hulk Hogan, boxer Mike Tyson, 49ers lineman Nick Bosa and NFL quarterback Brett Farve.

While Lady Gaga is backing Harris, her father and New York restaurant owner Joe Germanotta will be voting for Trump, as will billionaire Steve Wynn. Despite speaking at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, Dr. Phil McGraw has since said that he does not support Trump.
