- Nobody has been confirmed yet to host the 2025 Grammys
- Rumors are swirling about who will host
- The Grammys will take place on February 2, 2025

The Grammy Awards will be happening on February 2 and as the show looms, more details are coming out. The nominations for the Grammys are already out for all 94 categories. They certainly get them out quickly! Nominees for the biggest awards include Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé and Charli XCX.
Even with the nominees announced, key details about the Grammys remain under wraps. As music’s most coveted award show, it’s no surprise the organizers stay tight-lipped.
The first stage of voting for the show began on December 12 and will stay open until January 3. The members of the Recording Academy decide the nominees and winners.

The excitement for the show is building as the host remains a mystery! Rumors are flying about who could land the gig, but nothing is official yet. Who’s in the running? Read on to find out!
Who is hosting the Grammys?
On the Grammys website, they have hinted that the official hostname will be released soon. In a statement about the details of the award show the Grammys said: “Presenters, performers, and the host of the 2025 GRAMMYs, officially known as the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, will be announced soon!”
However, that doesn’t stop the rumor mill and us from speculating who could be hosting. For the last four years, the show has been hosted by comedian and The Daily Show Host Trevor Noah.
Noah’s hosting has always been popular, in particular, his 2024 Grammys monologue had some memorable moments. Taylor Swift even told Noah he did a ‘beautiful job’ backstage at the 2024 show. Aww. But officially, we don’t know if he’ll be there for a fifth year in a row yet.
Does Trevor Noah have hosting experience?
Noah’s hosting portfolio is a long one. The comedian did host the comedic talk show, The Daily Show for seven years. He took over from old host Jon Stewart. The show ran on Comedy Central from 2015 until 2022. He previously hosted another late-night talk show, Late Night With Trevor Noah in 2011 which aired in his home country of South Africa.
Early in his career, the South African hosted his radio show, Noah’s Ark on a youth radio station in South Africa, YFM. He hosted various pop culture and news-related shows as well.
In 2009 he had a bigger role, hosting the 3rd Annual South Africa Film and Television Awards. He continued to gain recognition later hosting the South African Music Awards in 2010.
Alongside hosting, Noah gained notoriety for his comedy specials. He performed at comedy festivals in the 2010s like The Blacks Only Comedy Show and the Cape Town International Comedy Festival.
In 2011 after moving to the United States he began to hit the big time.
He joined The Daily Show in 2014 and then when he took over as a host, he became the host. From 2021, he hosted the Grammy Awards for four consecutive years.
What did he say about hosting the Grammys?
Speaking on hosting the Grammys, he said: “I love that I don’t know what’s going to happen.” He continued, “That’s what I love about the Grammys. It’s live, it’s happening, it’s on the fly.”
He was also asked if he was nervous, to which he said yes. He claimed the show makes him nervous because of the star power of those who attend.
Although Noah hasn’t yet made a public statement about hosting the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
But could anyone else host?
Who else could host the Grammys?

No prominent contenders have been highlighted by news sources or online. Other previous hosts include Alicia Keys, who is being honored with a Dr Dre Global Impact Award at this year’s Grammys. Keys hosted just before Noah in 2019 and 2020 so she could return.
Another strong contender who could return is comedian and actor James Corden. Corden is successful in the U.S. with his talk show, The Late Late Show with James Corden. He also hosted the Grammys in 2018, who says he couldn’t come back?
Any established musician or entertainer could be another strong choice to host. The Recording Academy will likely seek someone relevant to today’s music scene or someone with extensive hosting experience, like Noah.
Grammy hosts of the last 5 years
Just to recap, here are the hosts of the previous five years.
- 66th Annual Grammy Awards: Trevor Noah (2024)
- 65th Annual Grammy Awards: Trevor Noah (2023)
- 64th Annual Grammy Awards: Trevor Noah (2022)
- 63rd Annual Grammy Awards: Trevor Noah (2021)
- 62nd Annual Grammy Awards: Alicia Keys (2020)
When will a host be announced?
With no host announced, there is no social media reaction yet. However, the internet has ideas about who they want to host.
Noah was announced last year on December 14, so this year’s Grammy host reveal should be imminent. Applying that logic to a Grammys host announcement, the Recording Academy should announce someone any day now.
We hope it’s soon because we are waiting with bated breath.
