There’s not much we know about Donald Trump‘s 18-year-old son Barron – but we do know what he sounded like as a child thanks to a new meme.
A rare video of Barron when he was four years old has resurfaced online and has gone viral on TikTok just weeks after his father won the presidential election.
The clip first resurfaced on November 13 in a post on X responding to another post claiming Barron is “the person who is responsible for Trump’s glorious victory” thanks to his work behind the scenes in the election. He is believed to have helped in the campaign to work on how Trump could appeal to Gen Z voters.
In response, a user said: “This obsession with Barron is hilarious when you consider that the only video we have of him speaking is this.”

The clip is taken from a CNN video that aired in 2010 and finds Barron with his parents in Donald Trump’s office in Trump Towers.
Barron is dressed in a suit and is seen jumping around the office before he picks up a small Louis Vuitton briefcase and says, “I like my suitcase,” in a Slavic accent similar to his mother’s. As such, many online have pointed that it makes ‘suitcase’ sound like ‘sootcase’.
He then asks: “I have to go to school now? Now I’m gonna go?” Melania tells him he will go to lunch and then go to school.
Donald’s voice is then heard from off camera in another shot, saying: “You can do reading, writing and arithmetic.”
How has it become a meme?
The younger Barron’s soundbite has now become widely shared on TikTok, often in the form of a musical remix. Even celebrities have jumped in on the trend, such as RuPaul, who used the audio a TikTok of him showing off a suitcase of his own.
Lots of users have also tried zipping themselves into suitcases for their own takes on the trend, which seems to be the main way people are engaging with it.
