- The Rock returned to announce the host city and dates for WrestleMania 42
- WWE’s three biggest Premium Live Events of 2026 all have host cities and venues confirmed
- The two night event will take place across a weekend in mid-April, 2026

WrestleMania 42 has its host city and dates booked in for next year, with The Rock returning to WWE this past Friday (February 21) to make the announcement.
The Final Boss made his first appearance in a WWE ring since Monday Night Raw’s Netflix premiere on January 6 to inform the people of New Orleans that their city will be hosting WWE’s marquee event for the third time, in 2026.
The Big Easy previously hosted WrestleMania in 2014 and 2018, seeing some of WWE’s most iconic and infamous moments take place. At WrestleMania 30, The Undertaker’s undefeated 21-0 streak at the event came to a crashing end at the hands of Brock Lesnar, leaving wrestling fans around the world in a sense of disbelief that some may not have recovered from to this day. And of course, Daniel Bryan dethroned Randy Orton as WWE World Heavyweight Champion after defeating The Viper and future Guardian of the Galaxy Dave Bautista in the triple-threat main event.
With WrestleMania 41 on the horizon, taking place on April 19 and 20 of this year, the focus will remain on the Las Vegas show for the next couple of months when it comes to the Grandaddy of ’em All. But once 41 is in the books, a lot of glances will be cast towards Louisiana as WWE fans anticipate which direction the company are going to head with storylines and title reigns, potential call ups from NXT and new signings debuting.
So although very little is known about WrestleMania 42, here is what we can tell you about the event so far…
Where is WrestleMania 42 Taking Place?
As previously mentioned, WrestleMania 42 will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Caesars Superdome. The venue also held Super Bowl LIX, earlier this year. It is the third time ‘Mania has been held in the city, with the 30th and 34th shows emanating from The Big Easy.
When is WrestleMania 42?
The show will take place across two days, as has become custom since WrestleMania 36 in 2020. It will be held on Saturday April 11 and Sunday April 12, 2026.
What Time Will The Show Start?
No official bell times have been announced for the show as of yet, although usually, 7pm Eastern is a safe bet for a start time, which means 6pm Central, 4pm Pacific. Fans in the UK should expect a midnight start time, as has become custom over the years.
Where Can I Watch WrestleMania 42?
Peacock and Pay-Per-View will likely be best bets for US fans. Although WWE’s deal with Peacock is reportedly set to expire in 2026, so if that concludes prior to ‘Mania, chances are Netflix will be airing the event in the States, as it will be in all other territories. This is yet to be confirmed either way, however. A new deal with Peacock could yet be struck in the US.
WrestleMania 42 Match Card
With ‘Mania 42 still being over a year away, no matches are likely to be announced for almost another 12 months. That is unlikely to stop rumours and speculation circulating well before then, however, especially when it comes to the involvement of The Rock and potential match ups with his cousin Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
