Pamela Anderson – icon from 90s show Baywatch – is to star alongside Liam Neeson in the remake of Naked Gun that is currently in production.

Back in the 90s, posters of Anderson adorned the walls of millions of teenage boys across the world, as she shot to fame playing the feisty CJ Parker in Baywatch alongside the likes of David Hasselhoff.

She also became known for her tempestuous life off-screen, including infamous marriages to rock bad-boys Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

Since then, Anderson has starred in various films, including Scary Movie 3, as well as appearing in several US reality series, including Dancing With The Stars. Netflix also produced a documentary about her life, called Pamela, a Love Story, in 2023. She is also known for supporting animal rights charities.

What Anderson’s role will be in Naked Gun has not been confirmed yet, but it is likely she will be the love interest for Neeson’s Frank Drebin. In the original films, that role was taken by Priscilla Presley, who combined sexiness with slapstick.

The remake is being directed by Akiva Schaffer, who co-wrote the script alongside Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. The trio are best known for the movie Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers. Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins are producing via their Fuzzy Door company.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for now. However, as it is a remake, it is likely to follow the original trilogy of films, which focused on inept detective Frank Drebin who, despite being terrible at his job, managed to solve the crime he was investigating.

Naked Gun has been slated for release in theaters on July 18, 2025.
