- Bill Belichick has been approached by Raiders minority owner Brady about the head coach job in Vegas
- Raiders parted ways with head coach Antonio Pierce after just one season
- Brady and Belichick won six Super Bowls together with the New England Patriots

Are Bill Belichick and Tom Brady set for a reunion in Las Vegas?
The Super Bowl hoarding duo could be making magic in Sin City if the Raiders minority owner has his way. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has been utilising his newfound power in Nevada to see if his former head coach wants to head up his new team in the desert.
Belichick surprisingly took the head coach job at the University of North Carolina last month, despite never having coached college football before. However, the six-time Super Bowl winning coach has a $10m buyout clause if he leaves UNC before June 1, 2025. Such a low figure for a coach of Belichick’s considerable stature has, unsurprisingly, seen interest skyrocket in the former Patriots boss with teams across the NFL suddenly looking for new head coaches.
As well as the Raiders the Jets, Saints, Bears, Jaguars and Patriots are all currently seeking out new head coaches after parting ways with their respective chiefs following disappointing seasons. The Raiders relieved Antonio Pierce of his duties after just one season in charge, with the former Oakland franchise slumping to a miserable 4-13 campaign.

NFL.com has reported that Brady spoke with Belichick recently to see what it would take for his old coach to reconsider his move to North Carolina, but it is unclear at the moment whether the 72-year-old would go back on his decision to shift his expertise to the college game.
Of course, NFL teams must abide by the Rooney Rule when looking to hire a new head coach and conduct interviews with minority candidates, so if Belichick were to make a move from North Carolina back to the NFL, it could be at least a few weeks before anything concrete materialises. In Las Vegas or elsewhere.
Post-retirement, Brady has become a part-owner of English Championship club Birmingham City while also debuting as an NFL analyst for Fox and, while his coverage may have been met with some very harsh criticism at the beginning of the season, the seven-time Super Bowl winner has come into his own as the campaign has progressed. He even tried his first turducken!
