Tom Brady hasn’t convinced everyone during his debut season as an NFL analyst, and the legendary quarterback didn’t exactly improve his on-air reputation with his sampling of a traditional Thanksgiving turducken.

Now, I’m all for traditions. I’m also all for cuisine in which one bird is stuffed inside another bird and then stuffed inside another bird. It’s nice to go absolutely insane once in a while, isn’t it? But I am also aware that being a SEVEN TIME SUPER BOWL WINNING QUARTERBACK probably doesnt lend itself to devouring a Fowl Frankenstein’s Monster midway through the NFL season. No matter how delicious it is.

So it was with the usual, presumed diet of Tom Brady in mind that NFL fans didn’t seem overly enthusiastic about the former New England Patriot and Tampa Bay Buccaneer tucking into a turducken live on-air, during Fox Sports’ Thanksgiving Day
coverage of the Dallas Cowboys’ victory over the New York Giants.

Even in retirement, Brady still clearly goes ham on his nutrition and is in immense shape, so duck stuffed inside chicken stuffed inside a turkey is probably not high on his regular menu. Despite all the protein it undoubtedly would bring to proceedings. This did not stop him tearing into a turducken leg, however and seeming passionately excited about it.

“How did a duck and a chicken get roped into this?” Brady asks before ripping himself off a leg and taking a sizeable chunk out of it.

“That’s good! That’s so good! “ came Brady’s immediate reaction as the Fox team honored the late John Madden, who brought the birds to a national audience during a game in New Orleans in 1996. “You guys go ahead, I’m bailing, this is awesome. By the way, that’s amazing” continued Brady, making the most of the Louisiana delicacy.

Despite Brady’s enjoyment of the dish, football fans couldn’t resist ribbing the Super Bowl hoarding QB, especially given the amount of trauma and pain he inflicted on so many opposition fans over the years.

I don’t know about you, but I want Tom Brady eating more local cuisines that involve multiple animals over the course of the remaining NFL broadcasts this season.
