- Star confirms season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will start filming before season 1 airs
- First new Daredevil series since 2018
- Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ in March

It’s an exciting time for Daredevil fans – not only is there a new season to look forward to in March, but the wait for season two might not be long either as filming will begin soon.
Daredevil: Born Again comes to Disney+ on March 4. The nine-episode season will be the first Daredevil series since 2018, when the original, which aired on Netflix, was cancelled.
Fans were disappointed when Netflix axed production after three seasons of the visually-impaired lawyer and vigilante Matt Murdock. Since then, the character has popped up in the MCU occasionally – notably in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She Hulk: Attorney at Law. The rebooted show will be part of the wider MCU.
No long wait for season 2
Now, Charlie Cox, who stars as the titular hero, has confirmed that there might not be the two-to-three year wait between seasons on streaming platforms that appears to be becoming the norm. in an appearance at FAN EXPO San Francisco (via ComicBookMovie), he said that filming on the next season will begin imminently.
“By the time we release [Daredevil: Born Again] on March 4th, we’ll already by shooting season 2,” he said. “So it’s just a gift that keeps on giving, really.”
That said, Disney+ hasn’t indicated when season 2 might be available, nor how many episodes there will be in it.
Cast returning to Daredevil: Born Again
The rebooted Daredevil series is set five years after the conclusion of the previous series. The good news for fans is that many of the characters – and actors who played them – are returning for the new series.
Among those returning are Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk – AKA Kingpin – as well as Murdock’s friends Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, played by Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Moll respectively.

Star excited
At FAN EXPO, Cox talked of his excitement at playing Daredevil again. “We thought we were going to do a season 4, and then it didn’t happen. It felt like a breakup a little bit in kind of a weird way,” he said. “And then, like all breakups, obviously we got back together.”
