The Kansas City Chiefs have done it again. And now they’re standing on the verge of history. They are one game away from becoming the first team to win the Super Bowl three times in a row.

Andy Reid’s men once again overcame an excellent Buffalo Bills team in the AFC Championship game, edging out Josh Allen and co 32-29 in a pulsating, all-timer of a game that went right down to the wire.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes further cemented his legacy with another mind blowing performance, combining for 288 total yards and three scores, which included two on the ground. But heading into the fourth quarter, the Chiefs were trailing 22-21 before eventually edging ahead 32-29, halting Allen on the 40-yard line and turning the game in their favour.

The Chiefs will now aim to complete a historic three-peat on Sunday February 9 at the Superdome in New Orleans when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who handily defeated the Washington Commanders 55-23 at the Linc, earlier in the afternoon.

Naturally, social media was abuzz throughout the night, with NFL fans reacting wildly to almost every single play of another titanic playoffs encounter between the Chiefs and the Bills.

This year’s Super Bowl will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII in 2023, where the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Can Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley write a new chapter in Eagles history and prevent Mahomes, Kelce and co. from making their own? We cannot wait to find out. February 9 cannot come soon enough.
