Lily Allen and Stranger Things’ David Harbour are reportedly separating after four years of marriage.

Multiple sources have told People that their relationship is over, with one saying their marriage was “crumbling”. It remains unclear exactly when the couple split up but there were rumours for a significant while that their marriage was in trouble.

Neither Allen’s nor Harbour’s representatives have confirmed the reports yet.

It comes after Allen said that she was struggling with her mental health, causing her to cut back on her work commitments.

“I’m really not in a good place,” Allen told her co-host Miquita Oliver on an episode of their podcast Miss Me recently. “I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiralling and spiralling and spiralling, and it’s got out of control.” She also said in December that she wasn’t doing very well.

How did Harbour and Allen meet?

The pair first met on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2019. They then started dating and got married in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in September 2020.

Allen was previously married to Sam Cooper between 2011 and 2018 with whom she had two children, aged 12 and 13.

Harbour spent 2024 working on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.

According to Netflix, Stranger Things season 5 is set to be released at some point in 2025 but its exact debut date has yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this month, eagle-eyed fans spotted some potential release date information in a piece of Netflix web code that pointed towards a possible November release. This remains unconfirmed by the streamer.

As for its potential 2025 release date, “A lot of it hasn’t been decided, in terms of exactly the release dates and cadence,” added his brother Matt. “We’re getting on a call in about a couple weeks about it. I just know it was very important for us and Netflix that we get it out this year. But even that is quite the push.”

Despite this non-committal response, the siblings assured fans they were “working as fast as we possibly can.”

Harbour is just one of many returning cast members. Coming back for season five are Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers and Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair.

Sadie Sink’s Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer’s Nany Wheeler, Charlie Heaton’s Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington and Hawke’s Robin Buckley and Priah Ferguson’s Eric Sinclair are also back, as are Winona Ryder’s Joyce Byers, and Brett Gelman’s Murray Bauman.
