Award season is well and truly underway and tonight, the UK gets its turn to host a glamorous ceremony.

The BAFTAs is the biggest event in British film, but we’ll still see plenty of films made elsewhere in the world be recognised. The same films that have been fighting for awards across the season will all be in contention tonight.
David Tennant is back to host the event for the second year running, which is taking place at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Meanwhile, there’ll be plenty more big names in attendance to hand out some prizes.
So who might we be seeing on our screens tonight?
Who’s presenting the awards?
The presenters, in alphabetical order, include: Adam Pearson, Adam Scott, Anna Kendrick, Camila Cabello, Celia Imrie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Colman Domingo, Gwendoline Christie, Hannah John-Kamen, Isabella Rossellini, James McAvoy, James Norton, Jesse Eisenberg, Joe Alwyn, Letitia Wright, Leo Woodall and Lupita Nyong’o.
Others presenting are Marisa Abela, Marisa Tomei, Mark Hamill, Michelle Monaghan, Naomi Ackie, Nico Parker, Orlando Bloom, Pamela Anderson, Ralph Fiennes, Simon Pegg, Selena Gomez, Shazad Latif, Stephen Merchant, Thomasin McKenzie, Vanessa Kirby, Vanessa Williams, Will Poulter, Will Sharpe, Tom Felton, Wunmi Mosaku, Zoe Saldaña.
Who is nominated?

Out of all this year’s contenders, it was religious thriller Conclave and Netflix musical Emilia Pérez that led the way, with the former earning 12 nods and the latter receiving 11.
Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist was third, with nominations for the director and his star, Adrien Brody.

In spite of Emilia Pérez’s success, however, Karla Sofía Gascón’s name was not present on a recent BAFTA seating plan. This came after a litany of her old social media posts surfaced containing Islamophobic, fatphobic and racist content.
Who is performing at the 2025 BAFTAs?
This year, Take That will be performing at the BAFTAs. They will perform their hit Greatest Day, which appeared in the BAFTA-nominated film Anora.
Jeff Goldblum, who has been on screens lately in Wicked, is soundtracking the un Memoriam section. He will be playing an original piano piece.
In the past, the BAFTAs has produced some major viral moments. These include Ariana DeBose’s iconic rap that declared, “Angela Bassett did the thing”.
