Kieran Culkin is once again dominating Award Season, with the Succession star picking up the Screen Actors Guild Award for Oustanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, last night.

The SAG Award joins the Golden Globe and BAFTA that Culkin has already won for his performance as the free-spirited Benji Kaplan in Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain. Not only that, but the 42-year-old is currently among the frontrunners to land the Best Supporting Actor Oscar at next week’s Academy Awards, as he goes up against Guy Pearce (The Brutalist), Edward Norton (A Complete Unknown), Tura Borisov (Anora) and his Succession co-star and on-screen brother Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice).

With a BAFTA, four Critic’s Choice Awards, two Golden Globes and an Emmy already to his name, on top of two SAG Ensemble awards, Culkin is an old hand when it comes to acceptance speeches at this point, and made sure his latest was another memorable affair, as he took aim at Adrien Brody for The Brutalist star’s lengthy victory laps.

Holding his latest gong, Culkin joked, “Thank you for this incredibly heavy award. I don’t think there’s any way anyone can hold this for 45 seconds…..which is the allotted time, Adrien Brody!”

The Succession actor did immediately acknowledge that he was joking as Brody laughed in the audience. And Culkin’s latest win drew a ton of reaction online, with the Home Alone star further proving to be one of the most popular actors of his generation.

Culkin’s next major role will see him take to the stage, alongside Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk and comedian Bill Burr for a Broadway run of David Mamet’s iconic Glengarry Glen Ross. Could a Tony Award also be in the 42-year-old’s future?
