Sony is known for being one of the most remarkable gaming, electronics, and entertainment companies and it has now become Japan’s second-largest company by market value.

Sony’s Rise to the Top

Sony started this journey 80 years ago with few employees and then continued to prosper, now it has earned a big name. According to Companies Market Cap It’s total market value has now risen to $149.32 billion, leaving behind Mitsubishi, which stands at $146.46 billion.

Undoubtedly, Song has achieved a massive milestone, still there is more journey to be covered to attain the top position which is currently secured by Toyota, with market value $231.69 billion.

Sony has build it’s empire by providing the top-notch quality in everything either it’s the gaming, electronic equipments or it’s about entertainment. It has gradually achieved this status, although the initial pushing force towards the success is the company’s audio and video technology but today Playstation, a well known gaming brand, has played a significant role.

Sony’s dominance in the gaming world has grown, thanks to the PlayStation and, specifically, PS5, which has gained massive success, making the company’s name in the industry.

PlayStation’s Impact on Success

This console, which launched recently, has brought massive revenue to Home and will continue to do so. An intriguing fact here is that the idea of PlayStation’s creation is a result of a failed deal between Nintendo and Sony.

They were supposed to join hands on a combined project, but Nintendo stepped back, which changed gaming history. The very first Playstation was launch in 1994 and now Sony has developed a modern day console with high quality enhancements.

The PlayStation 5 has left behind all previous PlayStation consoles, making it Sony’s most successful gaming generation so far. Moreover, Sony is expanding in the gaming world through other ways like introducing PlayStation VR2.

However, right now Sony is also facing the lawsuit in Netherlands for selling digitals Playstation games more than the physical copies. While it is busy dealing with such circumstances, it is still giving tough competition to other console manufacturers like Xbox and Nintendo.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is going to launch soon and the community is eagerly waiting to see if it will become more popular than PS 5.
