We’re only three episodes deep into the third season of The White Lotus, but at some point, there’ll be even more to come.
Just weeks before the Thailand-set third instalment premiered, it got renewed for a fourth season. As ever, this probably means we can expect a new location and a new cast.

A few details have come to light so far, even at this early stage. But what’s already been confirmed?
What do we know so far?
According to Variety, production for The White Lotus season 4 will begin in 2026. As such, given past timelines between seasons, it could hit our screens in 2027.
There has been hints from showrunner Mike White that season four could deviate from the show’s usual formula.
“I don’t think it needs to always be a body,’ Mike White told The Hollywood Reporter in May 2023. “There are so many ways that we want to reinvent the show each year. Like, what is this show — other than people? A fresh mystery, people maybe expect that. But I don’t feel constrained by expectation. It’s fun.”

Later, he added: “If the show goes on for a couple of seasons, it would be fun to have an all-star season,’ adding, ‘It would be easy to just be full-on anthology, but I think it’s more fun to have little threads through the show.’
Where could season 4 be set?
Each season takes place in a different continent – season 1 in north America, season 2 in Europe and season 3 has taken us to Asia.

So far, producers have already started exploring their options for settings. Chances are, we could end up going to either Africa or Latin America next time.
“Right now, it’s looking like the next season of The White Lotus will be shot in Egypt or Mexico,” a source told Parade. “They want to pick somewhere they haven’t shot yet, so a new continent. They want to go somewhere completely new since this season is in Asia, which is why they’re between the two. The decision should be made soon.”
